Roberto Maglalang, originally from the Philippines, is running for Councilor in the City of Edmonton.
Maglalang is running in Ward 11 for the October 21 polls.
Maglalang, who is up against five other candidates, has issued an appeal to fellow Filipino-Edmontonians for support.
In his appeal published by the Filipino Journal, believes it is time to fast track the development of Edmonton pointing out that there are missed opportunities that could have allowed the city to leapfrog its growth.
The Hi-Flyer Food Canada HR manager hopes to be part of the team of visionaries in the city who share the same goal of making Edmonton the best city to live in North America.
Maglalang also took part in the 2010 Elections, according to information provided by Election and Census Services, in Ward 11 won by former Edmonton Sun columnist Kerry Diotte.
Diotte is now running for mayor against Karen Leibovici and Don Iveson.(pinoy edmonton news)
