Rudy Arcilla is another Filipino-Edmontonian running for Councillor in Ward 5.

The retired junior high school teacher and former Edmonton Catholic School Board trustee has set his eyes on serving on a bigger stage, this time, hopefully to be Ward 5’s voice in the City Council of Edmonton.

Arcilla, a pastoral council chair at St.John the Evangelist Catholic Church Parish, has vowed to work hard to repair potholes by implementing improved weather resistant asphalt mixtures, to reduce corner to corner traffic with improved traffic light system and strongly support the completion of the LRT expansion project that would benefit majority of Mill Woods and Lewis Estates residents.

Arcilla’s professional and community involvements have inspired him to run as he intends to work for a better Ward 5 after October 21’s Election Day.

“Having served as a trustee for one of the bigger school boards in Alberta, Edmonton Catholic School Board, I gained the ability to work and get along with others which is very essential in municipal affairs,” Arcilla said on his website, rudyarcilla.ca.(pinoy edmonton news)
