The City of Edmonton will be led by a new and young mayor for the next four years, replacing the retiring Mayor Stephen Mandel.

Councillor Don Iveson received 132,162 votes in an unofficial result posted by Election and Census Services after the October 21 polls making him runaway winner for Mayor.

Fellow Councillors Karen Leibovici placed at distant second place with 41,182 votes and Kerry Diotte garnered 32,917 votes for third.

Joshua Semotiuk came in fourth with 2,596 votes, followed by Gordon Ward with 2,248 and Kristine Acielo with 1,292 votes.

City wide voter turnout is at 34.5%.
