Christmas Message
By Fr. Jim Corrigan, Pastor, St.Theresa’s Parish
“I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ, the Lord.” My friends, we have arrived. We celebrate the Advent of salvation history in the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord, and what a Christmas “present” we have received, the Lord Himself.
Brothers and Sisters in Christ, on behalf of St. Theresa/Corpus Christi parish team, we wish you and your loved ones a joy-filled Christ-centered-family Christmas season. May this season of joy be a time where you celebrate your faith, families and friendships with joyful and sincere hearts. These are the “presents” (faith, family, friendships) that our Lord has blessed us within our daily lives. May the celebration of the Nativity of our Lord allow us to appreciate these “presents” as, gifts of God’s love for us. May our gratitude for these “presents” be reflected in the love and attention we offer to our families, to our friends and to those who still search for the light of Christ in their lives.
My/Our prayer for all of you. May our loving God bless you and your loved ones with a joyful grace-filled Christmas amidst family and friends. May the love of God given to us so freely, be mirrored in your relationships with others. May you who have received the light of Christ be His light for others, Amen.”
