Preparations are in full swing for the Miss Earth Edmonton 2014.
Pageant director Myrhalyn Dela Rosa has been working closely with Miss Earth Canada for the past three years to bring the event in Edmonton where 30 candidates will vie for the title on May 24 at the Grand Ballroom of Edmonton Hotel and Convention Centre. The preliminaries are scheduled on May 22.
Dela Rosa announced that the much-awaited event looks for the true embodiment of a modern Edmontonian beauty to rightfully become the ambassador of the advocacies of Miss Earth Edmonton and to represent the City of Edmonton in the Miss Earth Alberta 2014 Pageant.
The “Beauties for a Cause in Action” event will be holding a series of activities promoting sustainable and renewable energy, humanitarian causes and environmental awareness, she said.
Miss Earth Edmonton is working closely with various government agencies such as the Department of Health, Parks Canada, non-government organizations such as Greenpeace, WWF and others, Dela Rosa added.(pinoy edmonton news)
