Edmonton’s Online Census Over Soon
The City of Edmonton’s online census will end April 27, 2014 at 8pm. Since April 10, 25% of Edmonton households have completed their census questionnaire online.
“I am thrilled with how Edmontonians have embraced the online census,” said Laura Kennedy, Director of Elections and Census. “Now, with the deadline just around the corner, I encourage any one who hasn’t completed their questionnaire to participate today.”
A secure access code is required to complete the census online. The City of Edmonton mailed an access code and directions on how to complete the census to every Edmonton household. If you have lost your code, please phone 780-496-8008 to get it again. There is one valid access code per household.
Answering the questions takes only a few minutes and can be done from any computer connected to the Internet.
Census information is important for planning and delivering City services. It also ensures that the City of Edmonton receives appropriate funding from other orders of government.
Residents can find out more about the census and the census questions at edmonton.ca/census or by calling 780-496-8008.
