Additional Measles Immunization Clinics: Central Zone

RED DEER– Alberta Health Services (AHS) will provide Central Zone residents requiring measles vaccine with additional opportunity to be immunized at the following drop-in measles immunization clinics:
Red Deer Measles Immunization Clinic
Johnstone Crossing Community Health Centre – 300 Jordan Parkway
Wed., May 7, 2014 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Fri., May 9, 2014 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Mon., May 12, 2014 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Fri., May 16, 2014 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tues., May 20, 2014 – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sat., May 24, 2014 – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
These drop-in measles immunization clinics will offer vaccine to:
Infants six months of age to less than 12 months of age;
Children 12 months of age or older who have not yet received their first dose of measles vaccine;
Children four years of age and older who have not yet received their second dose of measles vaccine;
Individuals born in or after 1970 who have not received two doses of measles vaccine.
Health care workers, regardless of year of birth, who are not immune to measles.
Please note: individuals who have already received two doses of measles vaccine, as per the routine immunization schedule, do not require any additional doses of measles vaccine.
As always, measles vaccine also continues to be offered throughout the entire Central Zone, at Community Health Centres and Public Health offices. Appointments for routine immunizations, including childhood measles vaccine, also continue to be offered. Please call your local public health facility directly to book an appointment.
Central Zone residents uncertain of their immunization history, or their child’s immunization history, are also encouraged to contact their local Community Health Centre or Public Health office, or Health Link Alberta (1-866-408-5465) to discuss
