Vaccination Clinics

Measles Immunization Criteria:

Individuals who have already received two doses of measles vaccine do not need any additional doses of measles vaccine, as these two doses have already provided these individuals with required protection against measles.

Measles vaccine is required for all individuals in the following groups:

  • Infants six months of age to less than 12 months of age who are living in or travelling to the Calgary, Central or Edmonton Zones of AHS, or travelling to any out-of-province destinations in which measles outbreaks are ongoing
  • Children 12 months of age or older, who have not yet received their first dose of measles vaccine;
  • Children four years of age and older, who have not yet received their second dose of measles vaccine;
  • Individuals born in or after 1970 who have not received two doses of measles vaccine.
  • Health care workers, regardless of year of birth, who are not immune to measles.

North Zone:

Measles vaccine continues to be offered through AHS Public Health Offices & Community Health Centres, by appointment. Additionally, in North Zone, the following drop- in opportunities are also available:

Tuesday, May 13 – 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 14 – 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 15 – 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Friday, May 16 – 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Edmonton Zone:

Measles vaccine is availble, by appointment, at all Community Health Centres/Public Health Offices in Edmonton Zone. To book an appointment, please call Health Link Alberta.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: Individuals in Edmonton Zone may be experiencing delays in connecting through to the immunization appointment booking line. This is due to high call volumes. Appointments are available. We ask all callers to please be patient as we continue to work through the impact of this high call volume.

Central Zone Clinics:

Measles vaccine continues to be offered through AHS Public Health Offices & Community Health Centres, by appointment. Additionally, in Central Zone, the following drop- in opportunities are also available:

South Zone:

Measles vaccine is available through AHS Public Health Offices and Community Health Centres, by appointment. Please call your local Public Health Office or Community Health Centre to book appointment.
