Police ask for public’s assistance in locating homicide suspect
The Edmonton Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy on Sultanbek Abdymamat Uulu, 22, and determined he died as a result of a gunshot wound.
Investigations have led to the issue of Canada-wide warrants on Kalab Abberra Kitil, 22,for second degree murder, careless use of a firearm, pointing a firearm, knowledge of unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm, unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm in a motor vehicle, and unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition.
Kitil is described as a black male, 6’3” tall and weighs 196 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes. Kitil is believed to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached. The public is asked to call police immediately.

The 22-year-old male who suffered a gunshot wound while travelling in an SUV on Monday night passed away in hospital on Wednesday, June 4, 2014.
Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section detectives have identified the victim asSultanbek Abdymamat Uulu (Abdymamat Uulu is the full surname), 22.
The 22-year-old male was a passenger in an SUV that was allegedly shot at. The SUV with the victim pulled up to EPS and EMS units who were parked at 113 A Street and 136 Avenue responding to an unrelated incident around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014. The male was suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound, and was treated and transported by EMS to hospital in critical condition. The other three adult male occupants of the SUV did not report any injuries.
Investigations by police led to the area of 94 Street and 132 Avenue where additional evidence was located on the roadway. The SUV containing the victim was believed to have travelled along 132 Avenue from 82 Street to 113 A Street.
The EPS Homicide Section continues to investigate with the assistance of the EPS Northeast and Downtown Divisions, and the EPS Drug and Gang Unit. The shooting does not appear to be random.
This will be Edmonton’s 11th homicide for 2014. There were 11 homicides at this time in 2013.
