Vote for Vigan to be one of the New Seven Wonder Cities of the World
The Philippine Consulate General would like to inform the public that the heritage city of Vigan is the lone candidate from the Philippines vying for the spot in the New Seven Wonder Cities of the World List. There are a total of 28 cities contending for the seven slots. Information regarding the mechanics for the online voting, as well as the brief profile of the countries nominated, panelist and the organization can be accessed through this link: www.new7wonders.com/en/cities.
The City of Vigan, with its rich culture and heritage is continuously establishing efforts to sustain and promote its historical legacy through various conservation programs and projects. The New Seven Wonders Foundation aims to inspire and create awareness on the beauty of the world and to celebrate seven symbols of unity that respect and honor the cultural diversity of our planet.
The public is requested to vote online and promote the Heritage City of Vigan during the two elimination phases set on July and October this year. The New Seven Wonder Cities of the World will be announced on 7 December 2014.
