Tour Des Trees Edmonton (source: edmonton.ca)

Location: starts in Gold Bar Park
Celebrate Edmonton’s urban forest on this 7 km bike ride and short hike in the river valley, starting in Gold Bar Park.
Learn how trees benefit our city and how you can get involved in growing the urban canopy. Along the route you will plant a tree in a natural area, identify common tree and shrub species growing in the river valley, and learn interesting tree trivia.
The Community Greening Team will be on hand to lead the tour and share their knowledge.
Register
There are only 30 spots available. You must bring your registration confirmation to the tour in order to take part.
- Register online at Event Brite – registration is open from 9am July 30 until 9am August 20.
- Complete your consent/waiver and photo release forms and bring to the event.
If you register and can no longer attend, please cancel your registration so your spot can be opened up for another participant.
Skill Level
Beginner to intermediate; primarily paved trails. This 7 km ride and short hike will take approximately 3 hours, with many interpretive stops.
Please Bring
Bring your own bike, helmet (mandatory), bike lock, appropriate clothing (tour runs rain or shine), sunscreen, bug spray, water and a snack.
Bike Rentals are available from the Edmonton Bicycle Commuters’ Society for $20/day.
