Canada’s Assistant Commissioner Randall J. Beck Receives Plaque of Appreciation from PH’s Office of Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process
Consul General Neil Frank Ferrer awarded the Plaque of Appreciation to Assistant Commissioner Randall J. Beck of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), in recognition of his contribution to the Independent Commission on Policing (ICP) under the Framework Agreement of Bangsamoro.
Consul General Ferrer said, “The Philippine government is grateful for Canada’s support in the peace process in Mindanao. The Independent Commission on Policing greatly benefits from the expertise of Mr. Beck in operational policing and peace-building initiatives.”
Mr. Beck, who arrived in Manila on 18 October 2013, was designated by the Canadian government as chairperson of the ICP, upon the invitation of the Philippine Government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) Peace Negotiating Panels.
