EPS concludes investigation in second homicide of 2014
The Homicide Section with the Edmonton Police Service has concluded the investigation into the second homicide of 2014.
Homicide detectives have determined London Williams, 21 to be responsible for the death ofIbrahim Yousef Chehimi, 34.
The Edmonton Police Service took over the RCMP homicide investigation of London Williamswho was found dead on Monday, March 24, 2014 in the County of Smoky Lake.
A suspect has been identified in the Williams homicide. The investigation continues.
Background
Downtown Division officers responded to a report of shots fired at 2:22 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, in a parking lot at 112 Street and 104 Avenue. Police found one male dead at the scene and a 28-year-old male with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the arm.
The Edmonton Medical Examiner has confirmed homicide victim to be Ibrahim Yousef Chehimi, 34, who died as a result of gunshot wound.
The 28-year-old shot in the arm during the incident was treated for a minor wound and released from hospital.
EPS Homicide Section identified a connection between homicide victims, London Williams and Ibrahim Yousef Chehimi in April 2014.
