City of Edmonton is presenting sponsor for Pet Expo 2015
Once again, we are delighted to have the City of Edmonton as our Presenting Sponsor for Pet Expo 2015! This year, the City took their commitment a step further and invited pet-focused City partners to join in on the fun and help educate all of us on what it means to be a responsible pet owner.
City staff will be on hand to share information about lost pet recovery, pet adoption, pet licensing and volunteer opportunities. Visitors can also look forward to:
- visiting the Animal Care & Control Centre booth to learn how they care for animals,
- watching a demonstration from Dave and his dog A.J. from E & E Kennels about what it takes to become an Animal Control Officer,
- taking a peek into an actual Animal Control vehicle to see how Peace Officers safely transport pets,
- stopping by the Edmonton Valley Zoo booth, seeing some super cool zoo animals and entering your name in a draw for Edmonton Attractions Passes,
- asking a real Edmonton Firefighter questions about pet safety in the home and in vehicles,
- learning about which of the more than 40 off leash areas you and your pup will want to visit this year, and
- talking to a Park Ranger about how you and your pet can safely enjoy our River Valley all year long! And so much more!
