Team Eswar fought a see-saw battle then pulled away in the final minutes of the game to prevail over Greatway Financial, 87-66 at the start of the Philippine Sport Association-Crosstown Auto Centre Spring Basketball League held over the weekend at the Holy Trinity gym.
Christian Zion topscored for Eswar with 21 points while Oliver Branzuela helped with 18 points and Warren Guillen added 12 to secure the win.
In the other games, defending champion Crooks beat GQ, 89-86, Bomb Squad was too much for the visiting St.Albert GF, 105-69 and the Force blasted Pasaway, 116-46.
Games will resume next weekend, according to PSA president Joey Doctolero.(p.e.n.)
