Fourteen teams are entered in the 2015 Philippine Sport Association-Crosstown Auto Centre’s Battle of Champions on June 27 to 28 in Edmonton.
Filipino basketball teams from the City of Camrose led by Jayson Nuera, Bonnyville/Cold Lake headed by Jhade Provido, Rimbey spearheaded by Neff Nazario, Calgary under Aris dela Paz are ready to square off with the other squads.
Neil Cruz is leading the Slave Lake squad, Darryl Supnet for the Sherwood Park team, Raul Lastimosa for the Fort McMurray five, Dandel Cabardo for the Fort Saskatchewan/Morinville selection, Reynald Mendoza for Beaumont, Ronald Diego for Leduc/Devon, Antonio Villanueva for Leduc/Wetaskiwin.
Host the RAM Boys of Edwin Arciaga, Crooks of Majay Marquez and Crosstown Auto Centre of Chester Chiongson are not only ready to host the teams but have tuned up their plays too to give the visiting squads a good game.
St.Francis Xavier Sports Centre and Archbishop Oscar Romero School are the venues of the two-day event.(p.e.n.)
