Metro Line service change on Sunday
To prepare for winter, planned preventative maintenance of the Metro Line is scheduled for this weekend on Sunday, November 15, 2015.
Track machinery will be used to clean catch basins along the Metro Line, especially where leaves and debris may have accumulated during the fall. This work will help ensure proper drainage along the line and needs to be done before snow and temperatures stay below freezing.
Single-track LRT service will be every 30 minutes, rather than every 15 minutes, along the Metro Line. Metro Line trains will continue to run between NAIT and the Health Sciences/Jubilee stations, as they do every Sunday.
Edmonton Transit will provide extra bus service on Route 15 between NAIT and Downtown. Service will be every 15 minutes. Routes 8 and 9 are also options for service between Downtown and the Kingsway area. Also, additional LRT service along the Capital Line will be provided during certain times between Friday and Sunday to accommodate the Canadian Finals Rodeo.
