Waste collection during the holidays
In the spirit of the holidays there will be no waste collection on Christmas and New Year’s Days. Waste collection for Friday, Dec. 25, 2015 and Friday, Jan. 1, 2016 will be moved to Monday, Dec. 28, 2015 and Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 instead. Regular Friday collection will resume on Friday, Jan. 8, 2016.
For your collector’s safety and your own, it is important to clear snow from your collection area and spread sand on icy surfaces. Place garbage and recycling bags on level ground as close to the street or alley as possible, not behind or on top of windrows or snow piles. The City thanks residents for helping make our collectors’ job safer, especially during the holidays and winter season.
