Deputy Premier Sarah Hoffman issued the following statement on Family Day, a provincial statutory holiday celebrated the third Monday in February since 1990.

“Every February, we take a day to reflect on the importance of loving families as the foundation of a stronger Alberta.

“Families are the roots of our society, supporting us in both good times and challenging times.

“Whether it’s the family we are born into or the family we create for ourselves, there is no bond more unique than the one we share with family.

“This Family Day, let’s celebrate all that our families bring to us, and treasure every opportunity we have to create a richer family life.”
