TRANSFER OF REGISTRATION RECORDS OF OVERSEAS VOTERS TO LOCAL REGISTRY FOR PURPOSES OF THE 2016 BARANGAY AND SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN ELECTIONS IS NOW OPEN

Notice is given to overseas voters that the Commission on Elections has issued COMELEC Resolution 10152 dated July 15, 2016   entitled “ IN THE MATTER OF TRANSFER OF REGISTRATION RECORDS OF OVERSEAS VOTERS FROM POST TO LOCAL REGISTRY FOR PURPOSES OF THE FORTHCOMING BARANGAY AND SANGGUNIANG KABATAAN ELECTIONS “

Under this Resolution, Overseas Voters who intend to participate in the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections to be held in the Philippines on October 31, 2016, may file an application for transfer of registration records from an Embassy/Consulate to the local registry from July 15 to 30 2016.

All Applicants for transfer may accomplish and file applications for transfer (OVF No. 1-B) at the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver.

Applications filed at the Embassy/Consulate will be transmitted to COMELEC Office for Overseas Voting within 24 hours.

The Resolution is not applicable to overseas voters who will apply for transfer of registration from Canada to the local registry of municipality/city/district other than his/her residence as indicated in OVF No. 1 (application for overseas voting registration/certification) or as recorded in the local Certified Voters’ List (CVL).
