News Release
170 Street Lanes Close for Bridge Rehabilitation
Beginning on Monday, April 17, the southbound lanes of the 170 Street Bridge (north of the Yellowhead between 129 Avenue and 118 Avenue) will be closed for rehabilitation. Construction is anticipated to take six months.
Southbound traffic will be diverted to the northbound bridge, which will be split into two lanes of traffic in each direction. Drivers can anticipate minor travel delays in the area and are encouraged to take alternate routes.
Bridge rehabilitation will include deck removal and replacement, as well as barrier and abutment rehabilitation. Some pier and slope protection repairs will also be done on both the southbound and northbound bridges. More information is available at edmonton.ca/170StreetBridge
