The first edition of the two-day Philippine Sport Association-Crosstown Auto Centre Under-17 Basketball Camp wrapped up with an “overwhelming success” yesterday.
PSA president Gary Perpetua said the huge success was due to the support of the parents, volunteers and Crosstown Auto Centre.
“It was really an overwhelming success,” said Perpetua who after making the announcement last month, 67 basketeers signed up within a week. De Villa Homes also came in to support.
The kids received a certificate of completion and the skills competition winners bagged gift certificates from Crosstown Auto Center dealer-principal Joe Medina.
“Napaka saya ng mga parents at ng mga anak nila na sumali. Meron pa ngang taga Slave Lake. Kaya, maraming salamat talaga sa mga supporters natin,” Perpetual told the Pinoy Edmonton News.
The two-day event was held August 19-20 at the Saville Community Sports Centre.(p.e.n.)
