News Release
Buses replace south Capital Line this weekend
This weekend, Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) buses will replace LRT service all day between Century Park and Health Sciences stations. Crews are safely completing planned track-level maintenance and cleaning. Capital and Metro Line trains will run every 15 minutes at other stations.
Dates: Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27
Times: All day – from start of service until end of service
LRT stations: Century Park, Southgate, South Campus, McKernan/Belgravia and Health
Sciences.
Shuttle buses will run every seven to eight minutes and will use bus stops marked “LRT Replacement”. Buses will also travel to University Transit Centre, so passengers travelling farther north can transfer to the LRT at either Health Sciences or University stations.
The LRT arrival signs will be temporarily turned off on both days, but train schedule details are available through the ETS Trip Planner at takeETS.com and 311.
Regular service is scheduled to resume at the start of service on Monday, August 28.
