Make Downtown your destination this Saturday!
Bring your friends and family Downtown this Saturday for a day filled with music, activities, and fun! Join us for two events: Cycle in the City, a celebration of the Downtown Bike Network, and Explore the Possibilities, the newest event for the Experience Jasper Avenue Design Demonstration series.
Cycle in the City
Ready, set, let’s roll! It’s a bike party, and everyone’s invited! Grab your bike and check out the five themed pit-stops around the Downtown Bike Network. There will be a bike rodeo for the kids, bike decorating, food trucks, free fitness classes, and special appearances by some local celebrities. Be sure to grab a passport before heading out to the pit-stops and collect all five stamps for your chance to win bike-related prizes.
When: Saturday, August 26
Time: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Opening Ceremony at 11 a.m.
Where: Opening ceremony kick-off at the Federal Building Plaza.

Road Closures
96 Street from 102A Avenue – 103 Avenue and 99 Avenue from 107 Street – 108 Street will be closed until August 25 5 a.m. – 6 p.m. Please use alternative routes.
Explore the Possibilities
Imagine this: a vibrant, musical and colourful pedestrian party in the heart of the city. Explore the Possibilities is happening this Saturday on Jasper Avenue as part of the Experience Jasper Avenue Design Demonstration series. After you’ve biked the Downtown Bike Network, park your bike or walk to the Edmonton General Continuing Care Centre parking lot and head off on a scavenger hunt, or take in a street performer or musician. Scavenger hunt prizes include gift cards and products from local businesses and a chance to win City of Edmonton facility passes.
