

De Jesus powers Morinville to victory past La Derma Skin Clinic, 104-93
Jarel De Jesus topscored with 41 points to power Team Morinville to a 104-93 overtime win over La Derma Skin Clinic this morning in the ongoing 2017 Philippine Sport Association(PSA) Fall/Winter Basketball League semifinal round at the Father Troy gym.
De Jesus buried the equalizer in the last three seconds of the fourth quarter with a three-point shot from the left flank, 84-84 to send the game into overtime and the Morinville cagers regained their composure to secure the victory with Laudi Evora, Ken Bardillas, Jake Bonafe, Cruz and de Jesus delivering the needed points.
“Mananalo kami,” said teammate Niel Cruz at the end of the third quarter and Morinville trailing by 10 points.
And win they did to advance to the final round on January 7 against Cameron which defeated Bolero, 116-104 in the other semifinal game in the Open Division 2C.
PSA president Gary Perpetua said other seminal games will be played at the Archbishop Romero gym, tomorrow, Sunday, starting at 9 a.m. between Pinoy Auto Loans led by playing coach Chester Tiongson and Barako and the main game at 3:40 p.m. between Alberta Medical Supplies Inc. and Amirax Terror Squad.
Pinoy Auto Loans will be banking on the services of Carsley Camarillo, Sammy Cajilig, Erdz Orquez, Sarce Garcia and the rest of the squad.
AMS, on the other hand, will be relying on Samson King Jr., Karl Lopez, Francisco De Leon, Ryan Palacpac, Mark Enrile, Dexter Catalan, Joel Batin, Richard Haro, Luigi Restauro, Sam Cajilig, Michael Deluso, Rafael Alitre and Clefel Brian Tan.
