Families invited to Run Walk Ride for Vision Zero
Runners, walkers and cyclists of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate in the seventh annual Run Walk Ride for Vision Zero. Show support for the Vision Zero Edmonton goal of zero traffic fatalities and major injuries at this family-friendly event. There will be free giveaways for the first 250 participants, and everyone receives a medal.
Date: Saturday, June 2, 2018
Time: 9 a.m. – noon (race begins at 10 a.m.)
Location: Concordia University of Edmonton, 7128 Ada Boulevard
Price varies depending on race, team member or single registration, participant’s age, and early or late registration. Pre-register online at edmonton.ca/runwalkride. Race day registrants are also welcome.
“Edmontonians love the outdoors, and this fun event is about promoting safe streets,” said Laura Thue, the City of Edmonton’s Traffic Safety Senior Research Coordinator.
Net proceeds from the event go to the Memorial & Traffic Safety Fund, the goal of which is to protect the lives and safety of those living and travelling in the greater Edmonton area by supporting activities to improve traffic safety.
