MANILA (Philippines News Agency) — The son of Senator Christopher “Bong” Go got the third-highest score in the 2019 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) board exam.
Christian Lawrence Go, a summa cum laude graduate of De La Salle University-Manila, garnered a rating of 89.50 percent in the licensure examinations.
The senator expressed joy and took pride over his son’s accomplishment, noting that they similarly ranked third in different instances–the senatorial race in May for the older Go, and the CPA exam in October for the younger Go.
“I am very proud of my son. Hindi ko mailarawan ang kaligayahang nadadama ko ngayon (I cannot explain the joy I feel right now),” Go said.
“Matapos ang ilang taong pag-aaral, nagbunga din ang sakripisyo. Bilang isang ama, wala akong ibang hinahangad kundi makitang matagumpay ang aking mga anak (After years of studying, his sacrifice finally paid off. As a father, I have no other desire but to see the success of my children),” he added.
The Professional Regulation Commission announced that 2,075 out of 14,492 passed the CPA licensure exam. (PNA)
