SAMAL, Bataan (Philippines News Agency)– Bishop Ruperto Santos of the Diocese of Balanga made the rounds of several areas in this province to give Bataeños Easter Sunday blessings on board an open vehicle.
Holding a small cross with the crucified Christ, the prelate on a vehicle bedecked with flowers, blessed everyone he passed by from this town to Abucay and Balanga City.
Only a few vehicles joined the bishop’s convoy that played the Christian song “We are one, Hear our prayer”.
An image of the risen Christ was in a separate vehicle that was also adorned with flowers.
Before the blessing on board the vehicle, Santos officiated a holy mass at the St. Catherine of Siena Church in this town attended only by a few people due to the enhanced community quarantine.
