ETS winter service changes and Heritage Valley Park & Ride opens
On November 29, ETS will be making service adjustments as part of regular service changes that happen five times each year. In addition to the regular seasonal adjustments, ETS has adjusted departure times on school specials and bus routes travelling to the following high schools: Harry Ainlay, Lillian Osborne, M.E. Lazerte, Queen Elizabeth and Strathcona. Routes 128 and 130 will also resume service to University Transit Centre. Capital and Metro Line LRT will continue to operate every 15 minutes until spring 2021 to accommodate construction on the Stadium LRT Station Redevelopment project, which is currently scheduled to be completed in early 2022. As is the case with the December schedule change in previous years, ETS modifies service levels for the December statutory holidays and the days around Christmas to reflect the lower level of ridership during this time. On November 30, Heritage Valley Park & Ride will begin operation. Shuttle buses will start running between Heritage Valley Park & Ride and Century Park Transit Centre. These buses will be marked as bus route 700 and will run every 5-10 minutes on weekdays from approximately 5 a.m. – 10 p.m. All customers are encouraged to plan ahead using the Trip Planner or real-time tools.
