November Labour Force Survey: Minister Schweitzer

Minister of Jobs, Economy and Innovation Doug Schweitzer issued the following statement on the November Labour Force Survey, released Dec. 4:

“With the hope of several COVID-19 vaccines on the horizon, our focus remains on protecting both the lives and livelihoods of Albertans. Economic recovery from this pandemic will not be a straight path. To get Albertans back to work, we are focused on implementing our recovery plan to rebuild and diversify our economy. 

“After six months of positive job growth with an overall recovery from pre-pandemic levels of 247,000 jobs and 10,000 new private sector jobs over the last month, we have seen encouraging signs of a recovery that is a credit to small businesses across Alberta. We will continue to support them as we move forward out of this pandemic.”
