
It’s all systems go for the second edition of the Cochrane Basketball League’s 3×3 on July 8 at the Spraylake Sawmills Family Sports Centre.
Organizer Bryan Verdillo said they have 12 teams entered in the event that will feature the best ball players who are in their “prime” as cagers.
He said high profile players who have seen action in the professional league, NCAA, UAAP are competing making the tournament more exciting for the around 300 spectators and fans who will cheer for their favourite players on Saturday.
Among the teams to watch are the Blizzards of Andy De Guzman and Dalluyon of RC Salvador.
The champion will win $1,500 including a merchandise and sponsor’s gift.
Verdillo said they will also feature a “one on one” competition that will have a pot money prize of $1,200.
The United Filipino Entrepreneurs Association headed by Bojo Bautista, he said, is backing the tournament organized in partnership with YYC Athletes of Exequiel Hilario. (Pinoy Edmonton News Service)
