

The First Anniversary celebration at Mabuhay Park is fast approaching. We encourage you to invite friends, family and neighbors for this vibrant and exciting event. We promise a day filled with cultural pride, entertainment, and community engagement. Here are some additional details to help you with the preparation.

Traditional Filipino Music and Dance Performances
Location: Mabuhay Park, 2608 14 Avenue NW Edmonton, AB (available in google map)
Parking Space:
Due to limited parking availability, we encourage visitors to carpool or use alternative transportation methods.
If you plan to drive, arrive early to secure a parking spot. Consider parking off-site if the designated parking area is full. NO PARKING ON THE GRASS. You do not want to get parking violations from the Park Rangers.
Attire and Weather-Proof Clothing:
Casual themed attire: we encourage you to show your Filipino-inspired outfit or color to show your pride but due to weather, wear casual !
Wear Layers: Edmonton weather can be unpredictable. Dress in layers to adapt to changing conditions.
Rain Gear: Bring weather-proof clothing, including rain jackets or ponchos, in case of rain.
Sun Protection: Don’t forget sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses for sunny days.
Personal Comfort:
Camping Chairs and Tables: Feel free to bring your own camping chairs and tables for added comfort during your visit.
Picnic Blankets: If you prefer sitting on the grass, bring picnic blankets.
Food and Beverages: Indulge your taste buds with mouthwatering Filipino dishes. Lunch, snacks and drinks are available to purchase through our participating vendors at the park. Let’s support our local businesses!
Garbage Disposal:
Take It Home: To maintain the cleanliness of Mabuhay Park, we kindly request that you take your garbage home with you. This helps prevent spillage in the park bins and keeps the area tidy.
Program and Performances:
Varieties of folk dances, songs, zumba and artists will be performing during this full day. There will be games with prizes that we will be randomly offered to visitors. We encourage everyone to participate.
Safety and Security:
Volunteers will be going around to check the surrounding and our community. We encourage everyone to be vigilant around you. Keep your child/children and belongings close to you. If you see anything suspicious, please report to us immediately. Your safety and well-being is important to us!
