Rosh Hashanah: Minister Yaseen
Minister of Immigration and Multiculturalism Muhammad Yaseen issued the following statement on Rosh Hashanah:
“I extend my warmest wishes to Alberta’s Jewish community as you begin the observance of Rosh Hashanah.
“This sacred time marks the beginning of the Jewish New Year, a season of reflection, renewal and hope for the future. It is marked by the sound of the shofar, which affirms the kingship of G-d and calls believers to reflection and prayer.
“May the coming year be good and full of sweetness.
“L’shanah tovah u’metukah!”
