Alberta tourism soars to new heights

Our tourism industry reached record heights in 2023, with visitors spending $12.7 billion in the province. The numbers show that Alberta is truly a must-see destination, attracting visitors as a great place to visit and explore.

The record spending also shows the investments we made into the tourism industry are paying off, ensuring the sector continues to create new jobs, dollars and prosperity.

Our long-term provincial tourism strategy, launched in February, sets the goal of growing Alberta’s visitor economy to $25 billion annually by 2035.
