Government of Alberta Updates – January 17, 2025

School’s back in. Give kids a brake

Back to school means that buses will be back on our roads. Be
prepared to stop behind buses and in school zones. Not
stopping puts kids at risk, and it can mean a $567 fine and 6
demerit points.
Younger children can be nervous and excited during the first
days of school, and they might not always cross safely. Be
cautious and watch for kids on the sidewalk and road.
