Options for continuing care
Albertans are living longer and often with more complex
needs. We are committed to ensuring Albertans get the care
they need, whether it’s supporting them in their own homes
or in quality accommodation.
Any Albertan can receive continuing care services, no matter
their age, diagnosis or the length of time they need support.
Eligibility is based entirely on a professional assessment of a
person’s unmet need for care.

Increasing access to affordable child care
We’re launching the Building Blocks Capital Grant Program to
support the creation of more high-quality, affordable child
care spaces.
The Building Blocks grant will provide access to capital for
non-profit and public child care providers to build, expand,
upgrade and make repairs to their existing facilities.
Funding will prioritize the creation of new child care spaces in
high-need areas with limited or no child care options or
underserved communities like rural and remote regions.
