GoA updates – March 14,2025
Driving investments in emergency services
When it comes to emergency care, fast and reliable transportation is vital. Quick response times can make all the difference in saving lives and improving health outcomes.
If passed, Budget 2025 will provide an additional $40 million to the EMS Vehicles Capital Program. This funding will be used to replace vehicles that have reached the end of their life cycles and ensure that the fleet is properly updated and equipped.
We’re also working to ensure emergency services are well supported within the new refocused health care system so that we can reduce emergency response times, increase EMS capacity and improve the overall health system.
