The numbers don’t lie—but maybe our leaders do

By Rob Rances

The numbers don’t lie—but maybe our leaders do.

While hunger surges to its highest since the pandemic and our debt hits ₱16.05 trillion, the government borrows ₱735 billion more in Q2 alone. Our debt service now bleeds $17.16 billion a year. Meanwhile, foreign reserves are dropping, and BSP IS RAISING RED FLAGS OVER FINANCIAL INSTABILITY!!!

Ito ba ang Bagong Pilipinas?
This is not “economic recovery.”
This is managed decay.

At a time when every cent should go to strengthening food security, healthcare, and education—billions are drained into opaque spending and political propaganda.

We are not just watching the economy collapse.
We are watching accountability evaporate.

And here’s the truth:
If we don’t act now—
if we stay silent and unmoved—
this collapse won’t just be statistical.
It will be personal!

Ask:
Will jobs vanish?
Will prices soar?
Will our children’s future be mortgaged just to pay for today’s corruption?

And if the answer is yes—what are we doing about it now?

Coz when that time comes, no headline will save us—only the courage we chose to show now.

Wake up.
Stand up.
ACT NOW.
Before it’s too late.

God save the Philippines 😭
