Tim Cartmell Launches Better Edmonton Party with Full Slate of Council
Candidates
EDMONTON, AB – Nearly 200 Edmontonians gathered at the Better Edmonton Party Headquarters today to witness the official launch of a bold new vision for the city.
Joined by supporters, family, and friends, mayoral candidate Tim Cartmell unveiled the full slate of council candidates running under the Better Edmonton banner—leaders who are ready to serve every corner of the city with purpose, integrity, and urgency.
“Our city deserves leadership that listens, acts, and delivers. The Better
Edmonton team isn’t just campaigning—we’re building a plan to make
Edmonton safer, more affordable, and better managed for the next generation.”
— Tim Cartmell, Mayoral Candidate, Better Edmonton
The Better Edmonton Party was formed to bring a results-driven approach to municipal governance, rooted in three foundational pillars:
- Safe Streets
Edmontonians deserve to feel safe in every neighbourhood, on every bus, and at
every hour. Better Edmonton is committed to re-establishing visible, responsive
community policing and investing in both enforcement and prevention strategies
that restore public trust and security. - Tough on Taxes
The current tax system is broken. Under Better Edmonton, tax fairness and fiscal
transparency will be restored. The party is committed to ending wasteful
spending, fixing the flawed assessment model, and putting an end to double-digit
tax hikes that punish homeowners and businesses alike. - Build It Better
Edmonton must grow smartly and sustainably. Better Edmonton will prioritize
infrastructure that supports economic growth and community wellbeing—bridges
that last, transit that works, construction that doesn’t drag on. We’ll build a city
that works—on purpose and on budget.
“This is about more than winning an election. This is about delivering a Better
Edmonton—where small businesses thrive, families feel safe, and taxpayers
get real value for every dollar.”
— Tim Cartmell
