Gurtej Singh Brar, MLA-Elect for Edmonton-Ellerslie issued the following statement after his by-election win:
“Thank you to the people of Edmonton-Ellerslie for putting your trust in me. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who opened their doors, shared their stories, and supported our campaign.
“Tonight, we’ve sent a clear message to Danielle Smith and the UCP: our community is demanding better.
“I will be a strong voice in the Legislature for Southeast Edmonton. I will work every day to stay connected, to listen, and to fight for what matters most.
“That means fighting for lower costs for families, safer communities, better schools, and the long-overdue South Edmonton Hospital.
“Together, I know we can build a better future for our community and for all of Alberta.”
