This activation will continue to include:
Water Stations
Access to potable water remains available 24 hours a day at 28 water stations attached to fire hydrants throughout the city. View a complete list of water stations.
Additional measures
All Peace Officers will carry water bottles for distribution to people in need.
Anyone needing a break from the heat may go to open City facilities, including libraries, pools and recreation centres. City facilities will also provide free bottled water and N95 masks. View a list of City facilities.
What Edmontonians can do to help
We encourage Edmontonians to check in on older family, friends and neighbours. Edmontonians who are concerned about someone outside can help by calling:
211 and press 3 for the 24/7 Crisis Diversion team. They can assist individuals who may be in distress and can provide transportation to social service agencies.
911 in emergencies.
