EDMONTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT EXPLORES DIRECT FLIGHTS TO PHILIPPINES
CALGARY – Philippine Ambassador to Canada Jose Victor V. Chan-Gonzaga met with Edmonton International Airport officials led by Mr. Joel Wilson, Manager, Aviation Development, and Mr. Adrian Warchola, Director, Air Service Development, to explore opportunities for expanding air connectivity between the Philippines and Edmonton, on 25 November 2025 at the Philippine Consulate General in Calgary.
Discussions focused on the potential for new air services, including the feasibility of direct Edmonton–Manila flights. Ambassador Chan-Gonzaga shared an overview of the robust Philippines–Canada aviation and tourism relationship, noting that Canadian travellers remain among the top international visitors to the Philippines.
Current direct services operated by Philippine Airlines and Air Canada between Manila and Vancouver, as well as Manila and Toronto, have significantly boosted mobility, tourism, and business engagement between the two countries.(Philippine Embassy in Canada)
