Mayor Andrew Knack Leads City Council in First Step in Developing Four-Year Strategic Plan.
Edmonton, AB – Mayor Andrew Knack and Edmonton City Council will meet on January 15 and 16 to discuss Council’s Strategic Priorities. This is the crucial first step in the process to create a Four Year Strategic Plan, which will focus on transparency and delivering results for Edmontonians.
“Edmontonians expect their Mayor and Council to work together with purpose,” said Mayor Andrew Knack. “That starts with listening to every councillor and building a clear plan that puts Edmontonians priorities first.”
Fulfilling a key campaign commitment within his first 90 days in office, Mayor Knack has already met individually with every councillor to discuss their priorities to better understand the needs of their constituents. During the meeting, Mayor and Council will discuss priorities for the City of Edmonton and the policies needed to move our growing city forward.
When complete, the Four Year Strategic Plan will enhance public accountability, improve coordination across City Council and administration, and strengthen prioritization of resources and builds a foundation that will keep Council and City Leadership accountable for delivering meaningful progress.
