The Province of Alberta has appointed Filipino-Albertan Alexander R. Donado of Edmonton as one of the province’s Marriage Commissioners.

Donado received his appointment last August 25, 10 days after being authorized under the Marriage Act to “perform civil marriage in the Province of Alberta”.

The Province has been inviting qualified Albertans to become Marriage Commissioners to help in the duties without bias in performing the mandate of the commission.

Vital Statistics-Service Alberta has opened applications for Lethbridge, Fort MacLeod, Drumheller and Three Hills and set September 5 as closing date.
