Crosstown Auto, Crooks to join basketball invitational in Blackfalds

Crosstown Auto Centre and Crooks are playing in an invitational basketball event organized by Glenn Kubaron on September 5 to 6 at the Abbey Centre in Blackfalds.

Coach Chester Tiongson, one of coach Norman Black’s assistants in the Philippine Basketball Association before moving to Canada, in an email said that so far, Crosstown and Crooks representatives have confirmed their participation to the event.

Two teams are also coming from Red Deer and one each from Leduc, Ponoka/Rimbey and Lacombe.

The event is organized as another way to promote camaraderie among basketball-loving Filipino-Albertans in the province.(p.e.n.)
