Power Hoops of Red Deer collides with the Edmonton Selection (Crooks) to open the Red Deer All-Filipino Basketball League on Saturday, September 5 at the Abbey Centre, 4500 Womacks Road, Blackfalds, Alberta.
Game time is at 10 a.m.
Crosstown Auto Centre of Edmonton meets host Solid North in the next game at 1 p.m.
The winners of the two games will meet at 5:30 p.m. while the losers will face each other at 4 p.m.
Organizer Glenn Kubaron informed coach Chester Tiongson of Crosstown Auto that after Saturday’s games, they will determine the next games set for Sunday, September 6.
Kubaron oganized the event to promote camaraderie among basketball-crazy Filipinos in the province.
