Father Gary Lee is best described by Filipino-Canadian couple Alex and Ana Donado as one of the best and happy Filipino priests who served in the Province of Alberta.
“He’s the one who officiated our 25th year wedding anniversary at the St.Theresa’s Parish,” said Alex, who was saddened upon learning of the Filipino priest’s untimely death.
Archbishop Smith will celebrate mass tonight for Father Gary with his family and parishioners at the St.Anthony’s Parish in Drayton Valley at 7 p.m. while vigil prayers are scheduled at the St.Joseph Basilica on September 10, 7 p.m. The funeral liturgy is scheduled on Friday, September 11, 2 p.m.
Burial ceremony will be in the Philippines.(p.e.n.)
