Parkside/Asian Corncupia, Bancale share honors as 4th GPFBL starts

Parkside/Asian Cornucopia and Angele Bancale of Philsteam received awards as part of the opening ceremony of the 4th Grande Prairie Filipino Basketball League (GPFBL), yesterday.

Parkside/Asian Corncupia won the best uniform award while Bancale took the best muse award. GPFBL officers and Sarah Zapanta, organizer of the volleyball league, composed the judges’ committee.

Eight teams are taking part of the league organized by Ervin Lanada with the help of friends and volunteers from the Filipino community like JP Cruz, Vic Panotes, Edgar Fernandez, Ray Tolentino, Alex Bacani, Ruel Rueda, Benjie Fercol Jr., Jimmy Guarin, Mark Matias and Dominic Macarine.

Deblanc/Royal Lepage is defending its title against Pinoy Tambayan, JNJ Cuisine/Barry Variety Store, Philsteam, Sky Financial, Parkside/Asian Corncupia, Shawn’s Meat Cutting Store and Dirt Buster/Enviro.(pinoy edmonton news)
