Pinoy Aces shut down Eyeballers, 77-62; Reyes topscores for X-Men

Pinoy Aces started hot and pulled away in the last five minutes to shut down the Eyeballers, 77-62 in the ongoing 2015 Philippine Sport Association-Crosstown Auto Centre Fall/Winter Basketball League in Edmonton.

Daryll Supnit and Eric Ramirez led the charge for the Aces en route to their fifth victory in eight games.

Chris Navalga, Ferdie Calabines, Reymar Sabenano and Alvin Claveria tried to rally the Eyeballers in the dying minutes but time was no longer on their side as they absorbed their fifth setback against three wins.

In the other game, X-Men found no obstacles in beating Obstakol, 62-55 to improve to a 5-2 win-loss card.

Obstakol suffered its seventh loss in eight games.

Joseph Reyes led X-Men with 14 points added by Vincent Angel’s 13 while Carl Pascual topscored for Obstakol with 16 and Brian Leyte added 15 baskets.

The other results over the weekend saw Shy Guys beat Team Insulator, 81-73; GQ United over Fallen 44, 73-69; Palabok House over AMDG, 119-74, Panago Pizza over Pacific West, 77-72; Barako Boys over Mike Drywall, 94-82; R-Tax over Exemplar Wealth Management Corp., 107-79; Barako Boys over Greatway Financial, 86-79; Wicked over West Side Royals, 83-76; Camrose over Prodigy Ballers, 100-70; PSA Dream Team over CT Warriors, 61-48; Crosstown Auto Centre over Alberta Medical Supplies, 77-68; Crosstown RAM Boys over Team Eswar, 95-88, North Edmonton KIA over Bomb Squad, 105-104; Wolverines over Canadian Brewhouse, 79-72; Panago Pizza over R-Tax, 82-59 and Alberta Medical Supplies over AMDG, 94-50.(pinoy edmonton news)
