On Monday, February 8, 2016 eligible voters in Ward 12 will be able to cast a ballot to elect a new councillor. Those who are unable to vote at a voting station on Election Day, February 22, 2016 can take advantage of four days of Advance Voting:
|Time:||February 8, 9, 10 and 11|
|Dates:||10 a.m. – 7 p.m.|
|Location:||Meadows Community Recreation Centre, 2704 – 17 Street

“Edmonton Elections is committed to making the voting process as easy and accessible as possible for Ward 12 residents. We want to make sure eligible voters have the opportunity to vote, no matter what the circumstances,” says Laura Kennedy, Director of Elections.
Any voter who requires assistance to independently mark their ballot will be accommodated during Advance Voting.
As required by Sec. 35, 46, 53 of the Local Authorities Election Act, in order to vote, you must present one piece of authorized identification that establishes both your name and current residential address. Identification such as an Alberta Drivers Licence, utility bill, bank statement, etc. is acceptable. A passport is not sufficient ID as it does not contain a residential address.
Voters who will be out of the city or unable to reach a voting station due to a disability still have time to request a Special (Mail-in) Ballot. Call 442-VOTE (8683) or visit: edmonton.ca/byelection.
